About Sara

This afternoon's post is on the wonderful Sara Taghdimi.

Born in 1987 in Tehran, Iran, Sara received a BA in Graphic Design from The University of Tehran in 2010 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design in 2011.

She is currently organising and running creative workshops at the Brighton Museum, and is a member of the team involved in opening the “World Stories” exhibition there. She also works as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator with startup companies and groups.

She is mainly interested in narrative image making and her illustration style is based on fairytales and epics. Her illustrations do not always follow a linear narrative, but they try to keep a consistent voice throughout the work folio. She bases the characters on the scenes of the epics, then translates them into her personal visual language to make a new fantasy world.
